Hole saw.
Or you can do like how some people I know would do it.A BFH and Sawzall.

Hmm...maybe harbor freight has a hole saw that big.....

Hole saw would be the cleanest, but a jig saw works good too. My bed was already scratched up pretty bad, so I didn't mind the foot marks from the jig saw. You could put down a layer of masking tape to protect the bed, from the jig saw foot, then make the cut. Super tidy and cheap. If you don't have a jig saw, you can pick one up (with blades usually) for 20 to 25 bucks.

The local Home Depot here, has a 4" hole saw, that will work just fine.
