Steering wheel lock

Not sure which forum this belongs in...I noticed this morning when parking my truck at work that the steering wheel does not lock when the truck is shut off. I do not know if it has always been this way or if this is a new occurrance. On a 2009 F250, should the steering lock when the engine is shut off and the key remmoved?

Yes it should lock with the key removed. It spins a full turn without the key??

Yep, just like if it were running except harder to turn.
