My Leather steering wheel is losing its color where I always hold it. Is there a paint or dye that is used to make my gray turned black leather back to gray?

If it was originally gray, and now it's black, dye won't do any good, you can't dye black to a lighter color.
My guess is, that it's just dirt biuldup, from years of driving. Every time I clean my truck I go over the wheel with a baby wipe, it does very well at removing the biuldup, and then keeps the wheel looking new. Baby wipes tend to remove things that standard cleaners won't, so I'd start there and at least give it a try, you might be impressed.

My thought was that the dye was wore off the leather wheel, I will try to use your cleaner and see if that is dirt,It does not look like dirt but maybe it is.

I like the leather and wood, I have a steering wheel with all leather and some wearing off if you would like to trade for yours with wood

it happens...and ford has a TSB to repaint the wheel...but imo it
would be a waste of your time...cause its just gonna peel again,
probably faster the 2nd time 'round.
45 bucks gets you a REAL leather cover from wheel skinz takes
about 45min to stitch it on...make sure you pull it tight...im happy
w/ my wheel skinz...its better than the factor "cover"

Mine was 120 on ebay but it only comes in the gray. Just search roush f150 wheel
