stinkin vac pump.....

3rd one in 3 years -mad This one lasted a little better than a year...about 65k mi.
I can hear it self destructing when I lift the hood and grab the line to the booster and feel the vac hit and miss.....of course the brake pedal does the same thing...in traffic
Gonna have to do pedal bushings when I get it fixed from having to muscle the brake pedal....thanfully it's a std tranny

Who has good reliable rebuilds?

Shoulda bought that hydroboost system from the boneyard for a duce

Yea, i went thru 2 in the last 2 years, but at least they are free(lifetime warrenty) and easy to replace

get one straight from ford.i had one from advance that lasted a month.and when it went,it went.took the belt with it melted the shaft and shot the pully out of the truck,took me 10 minutes of walking up the road to find the pully.i took it back and threw it at the parts guy and demanded my money back.went to ford and havent had a problem yet in almost a year.i forget how much it was though.

Got one from Car Quest this time $165....mine was Tango Uniform and they had one.....that pulley remover/installer I got at Horbor Freight for $20 has earned it's keep

Spent 2 days driving in the rain using the gears and feathering the parking brake---had the catch pawl temp disabled got tired of standing on the pedal and Car Quest is on the way home.....so they got my $$ this time.
