Stock 6.0 exhaust size?

How big is the stock exhaust coming out of the turbo into the downpipe...is it 3" or 3.5"?

Manual transmission 2006, trucks like mine have a 3" exhaust out of the turbo.

One mechanic said it was because of the tight fit going past the transmission, but there is plenty of room, for a 3.5 or 4 inch exhaust without interference problems. Bottom line is that mine is 3 inch.

This is from my buddy's 03 auto truck. Wanting to use the pipe for Mustang turbo downpipe

downpipe is 3 in, and then its 3.5 the rest of the way back with the exception of the cat which i believe is 4.
