"Compression adjust" or "COMP"
Compression adjust brings soft and loud CD passages together for a
more consistent listening level.
Press the COMP control to activate and deactivate compression adjust.

Hope that helps some:sweet

I believe most of the aftermarket MP3 AM/FM stereos have an auto level feature as many MP3's are burned at different sound levels, the COMP feature on the CD6 units does basically the same thing:)

I have a Sony dash unit sitting here on the desk ready to go into the Excursion one of these days:rolleyes: ;)

Back in Black was a classic, but I prefer "For those About to Rock" or Fly on the wall.

They still rock even now!
