I heard today from a North East area Manager that there will be early release. As much as 2 months earlier than the early release 06's. Can anyone confirm this? Is this to get the 07's a longer production year ? Yet nobody knows squat about the 6.4ltt or the truck......... -popcorn

Im under the impression there will be no 06 trucks. Only a longer run of 05's, followed by an early 07. Basically like the transition from 97 to 99 trucks.

Why do they do that? Sometimes they start the new model year six months before the year starts then they turn around and make the previous model year halfway through the next year. The model year should be the year of manufacture. They like playing too many games. It is not only Ford that does it though. I bought a new Freightliner the summer of 1998 and it was titled as a 1999. It had over 50,000miles on it before the calender turned to 1999. When I sold it it would have been worth more as a low mileage 1998 rather than a high mileage 1999.

They do this because there are a bunch of people who won't buy an 06 because they're waiting for an 07.To keep the sales numbers up they'll rush the 07's

Trade F150 now for 06 SuperDuty or wait for 07 SD

This last weekend my 04 F150 Lariat SuperCrew got into a very bad hail storm, every panel has some damage except the tailgate - no broken glass though. Before that I had been considering the 06 F250 diesel with all the trimmings, and even tested an 05 Harley version to pull my 8,000 lb boat on a 131 mile test loop. It Can Pull - the F150 can not IMO. In fact it is almost painfull to pull that boat with the F150.

I will get insurance details this week, and find out the cost to repair.

I am thinking that the body structure and interior on the F250 07 will be more like the current F150, super rock solid and a more current design. The one thing I don't like about the 05/06 F250 is the flimsey body work.

Based on what I see in this thread, I know the 06 F250's are on the lots now; and assume the 07's will be released about Feb 2006? I guess I could live with the dents for just under a year? and then trade for an 07 F250?

What to do? What to do?

HP,

Welcome to SDD.com, glad to have you here. Sorry to hear about the F150, but I dont think you would ever regret getting the PSD.
