Help Needed Swapping a 300 "I" 6 for a 95' 7.3

Advanced Adapters. They have a lot of tranny adapters for many engines. Why the disregard for the ZF tranny? There are auto trannys that will bolt up.

I want to stay with a standard. Is there some adapter to connect the current 5 speed (Has bellhousing as part of the tranny) to the 7.3?

Oh and the lift i'm fabbing for it will use 1 ton leaf springs with custom mounts. Pretty much boxing in the ENTIRE frame with 3/8 steel.

The ZF-5 or ZF-6 has the bell housing as part of the tranny. Either transmission I think will suit your needs. A 4 speed will not be strong enough to handle the torque of the diesel. Look around for one of your friends who has one.

Any diesel zf5 from 88 to about 97 will work. Has to be from a diesel though.
Iirc, to run the zf6, you have to have the adapter plate from the newer engines.
