Are the K & N filters I have been using with the Dino Rotella oil OK for use with Syn Rotella? Or, should I be looking for a better filter to use with the Synthetic?

Thanks

No scientific proof but when I switched from using K&N oil filters to Purolater Pure1 filters my oil seemed to stay cleaner longer. I have used Purolater filters for years in my gas trucks and cars, all with synthetic Mobil 1, don't know why it took so long for me to try them in my SD?????
I won't be using a K&N again.

K&N's air filters are generally known to be a bad idea on a diesel, have heard of more than one guy with a "dusted" engine from one...
I could imagine that their air filters might not be any better

Rotella "Synthetic" is not really a synthetic. Just highly refined petroleum. Not a bad oil at all, just not a "full synthetic." I would recommend that you use a Fleetguard Stratapore, Purolator PureOne, or Amsoil Ea synthetic media filter. Fleetguard can be had at genosgarege.com, and the Amsoil filters can be had through an Amsoil dealer on here. I am sure one will chime in.
