On my '09 F250 I recently noticed an erratic, light tapping and buzzing noise. It is not very loud and first noticed it when I turned the radio off after driving to the store. It is not there all of the time; comes and goes with no apparent regularity. I thought it might be the CD changer but with the radio off and no disks installed; it was still there. I then thought it might have to do with the climate control. I turned that off but again the noise was still there. Maybe a better description of the noise would be that of a hard drive on a laptop spazzing out...just before it crashes.
Any ideas where else to look? I have a service appointment on Friday.
