Good day all. I am a new member to your community and I have enjoyed it so far. I am a diesel mechanic working oversea's on a 28 day home and 28 day gone schedule. I recently purchased the new F 250,CC,LARIET,4X4. I have not got to drive it to much yet. Only 2500 miles on the speedo.Ready to go home and try it out. 17 more days to go.

No. I've worked for a oil drilling company for the last 13 years. We have drilling rigs all over the world. They all run off engine/generator sets. Mostly 16 cylinder EMD'S with piggie back 1200 KW gensets. Some of them have twin turbocharged KTA 50 Cummins and 3512 Cat's. The EMD's are the torque monsters though. Never have a load problem with them. They are on a load sharing 2500 amp buss and you can easily run the entire drilling rig with two of them. Not that easy with the Cummin's and Cat's though. Usually 3 online at all time's.
