well, boys n girls, I've done about all I can do in my quest for fuel economy.
Lower drag tires, synthetic fluids in the driveline
new filters, egg intalled under go-pedal.. :tounge
repairs to the IDM circuitry and a couple injectors..
I can still only get about 14.25 mpg outta this thing... :dunno

so on Dpantazis' advice, I contacted DP Tuner. :hail

talked with Jody for about 20 minutes this afternoon, so he could get a handle
on what I needed outta my truck.. :sweet

he's sending it out tomorrow..

hope to have it in by the weekend.. have a horse show we're taking a farm hitch to.. :dizzy

so it'll be hauling about 7,300 lbs of horses & trailer...

I'll keep ya posted...

I love my DP tuner and you will too! I have the 60 hp. tow and the 80 hp econo. Both have improved the mpg and performance of my truck. I usually get 11-12mpg when towing our toyhauler and 17-20mpg unloaded on the highway @ 65mph. These are averaged and NOT taken from the 'lie-o-meter' which by the way usually reads 20-24mpg...
Keep us posted on your mpg's after you get your DP Tuner.

I tell you what, these things go in "boom-boom"
The only reason it took me 20 minutes was I had to cut a hole in the plastic PCM holder for the chip to stick out the back of, and to provide for the lead to the flip-switch.

Truck seems to have a considerable amount more of "jump" so it took a little getting used to.

But I'm diggin' on barely having the go=pedal depressed to run down the expressway at 62mph...

I gotta remember to flip it into "tow" mode and then put the switch in my pocket for later today...

how about a FIVE mpg improvement over stock-unloaded, hauling 7,700lbs of horses & trailer?
