Tire Jack recommendation

I just reciently had to change the tire on my '06 F-250 PSD
and I was shocked to find that the jack that had come with the truck is a joke. I changed the tire in my garage so I know that I was on a flat surface. The jack didn't even reach the area where it was supposed to go so I could jack up the truck. I had to use a 4x4 board to lift my truck. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone might have for a replacement.

Were you jacking the truck from the axle or somewhere on the body or frame???

hydraulic bottle jack works well for me.

the bottle jacks they sell wit the trucks dont seem 2 work well...id get a small 2ton wheel jack wit handle and put in ur truck somewhere !!!

Sounds like you've either got considerably taller tires or the wrong jack then!

The bottle jack is sufficient for the weight of the truck (per corner). I would suggest carrying that piece of 4x4 with you - just in case.

I bought a 12 ton bottle jack at Lowes it works great

Yep....bottle jack and a piece of 4x4. I carry it behind the back seat at all times.
