GOD Bless America!
I'm purchasing an 08 F450 and it has a mixture of Continental HSR's and HDR's on it--3 HSRs on one side and 3 HDRs on the other side. Doesn't make much sense to me. Anyhow, according to Continental, HSR can be on the steering (hence the "S" in HSR) axle or drive axle, but HDR's can only be on the drive axle (again, hence the "D").
For those of you with experience with these tires, I'd like to know if anyone is running HDRs on the front. They've supposedly got better traction than the HSRs. I live in New York but am moving to Kansas this summer, so winter traction is important.
Second question is for those running all HSRs, do you notice any problems with traction in the winter?
Last question: does anyone have any good experiences with tires other than Continental?
Thanks--
Bruce
