Not to try and put down your 01 f150, but you will find so many things different and better, you like most of us will probably not be able to walk away with out buying the new one.

This is exactly the reason why I refuse to drive one of the new superduties. I did drive a 2010 with the 6.4 and my 6.0 would drive circles around it even stock but the new creature comforts and the mileage/power of the new 6.7 are pretty alluring. I just can't justify the huge price tag. I'd rather sell a kidney than have another $700 a month truck payment.

Nasty is right. I just took my 8000lbs travel trailer up the Mountains . I have a 2011 6.7L with 3.31 electronic locking axles and the 10,000 GVWR tow package . I was doing 80 up the big hills with more behind it. That was on the way up.

I'm glad I am not the only one. I have the 3.55 and it pulls my 35' TT faster than I really need to. The truck seems to speed up on uphill grades.

Glad to find this topic. I am buying a F250 for my wife and was considering the 3.31 gears. It will never pull anything and will have mostly highway miles. She drove a '99 F250 and a 2002 Excursion for almost 100K each, so she's no stranger to diesel trucks. After a 5 year hiatus to a Mercedes diesel SUV, she's decided that she's a Ford Truck person at heart.
