Trailer plug question

On the 7 way plug, pin 3 or 4 is labeled on the cover as (+). On our new horse trailer, that is the wire that the inside cargo lights are on. The lights were not coming on when I hooked up for the first time and I checked the truck and not getting any juice from that pin. I would think this pin is supposed to be on all the time. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

year of truck
did you have the engine running when you tried to check for voltage
the + is only LIVE with the truck running and the alternator producing output
is this the frst trailer you have attatched to this truck?

Engine was running, still no juice.
Not the first trailer by far, but the first one going straight in the 7 way. Other trailers, were used with 7 to 6 way adapter.

02s most of em... had the power junction box thingy under the hood behind the airfiler.
and i know you already checked the fuses and relay?
but i got to ask
and i cant remeber but there may also be a source fuse under the modesty panel by your knees
but i would suspect the tralier charge relay and fuse under the hood.
then the BIG connector under the drivers seat area under the truck, then the trailer wire hookup under the rear of the bed centerline.

also check the - on the plug for good ground. engine OFF.

Went outside and double checked the fuse panel one more time. The Charge one was blown, it is a larger square one, probably why I missed it the first time. Thanks for the help!.
