Dealer changed the t-case today. parking pawl was working correctly.
A shift fork of some kind was bent along with a bad planetary gear.

Ouch. Glad its all fixed! I know the older tcases had gears in them like the 70's Fords, I know they changed them in the 80's i think with chain drives inside them. Do they still use chain drives in the newer trucks like the 90's and 00's? Never been in a new tcase before just the old stuff.

That sucks. I like good ole iron thats in my 77 F250. I had to put my 99 in 4 low last night and thats the first time i used that gear since i've had the truck. I didnt know there was a sequence you had to go through to get it out of 4low! I was thinkin somethin was frozen up not lettin it get out of 4low. That owners manual comes in handy haha

I had to have my foot on the brake and put it in neutral to get it out of 4low. Well its more of a sequence to go through than my older trucks haha. Dont think it will help if its in park. Didnt try.
