tranny problem

changed tranny filters and fluid last night in my 05 F250, manual called for 16.7qts filter box for 15.7, looked like about 10 came out, I put 16 back in and this morning had fluid running out the top of tranny, cant really tell level on the crappy dipstick they have, did I put to much or something else go wrong

Fluid coming out of the vent means it has been over filled.

Lay the dip stick on a piece of paper. That will help you read it.

If 10 came out and you added 16 back in, if is OVER FILLED. Drain off about 6 quarts and then check the dip stick after running the truck.

What he said, I've done that before. I added too much back into the transmission and the next morning I had fluid all over the driveway. Just drain some out and then recheck your fluid level.
