I just had installed my 3 guages. egt, boost and trans temp. I live in So CA and not terribly cold here. Last light and this morning on my way to work, the ambient temp is about 45f. What should my trans temp be reading? I barely got to the 110f mark on the guage. Is that accurate?

In general the tranny should not exceed outside temp + 100°, so you are well within reason. Too cold does no harm. Wait until summer before questioning your gauge setup.

I have had my autometer gauges in for over two years and my trans temp normally runs between 100 and 125F. My transmission builder told me that 180F and up constantly is pushin' your luck. The cooler the better!
