Tranny work finally...and an update -- been away too long

Long time no post. Been super busy and since the truck has been mostly trouble free I forget to look on this site. Merry Christmas/Happy New Year everbody! :)

Finally decided to address the dripping tranny fluid. $1385 otd from the only (good) local shop for new seal, torque converter etc. Nothin' fancy. Made it to 173k. Feelin' lucky.

This year, I have also replaced power steering pump, both lines, right front hub vacuum seal, two nice shiny new batteries, a drag link bushing and finally remembered to reinstall my 203 thermostat after spending Thanksgiving up northern Minnesota with the stock t-stat. That first -15F day I thought she would never warm up.

Only remaining quibble is some of my gauges (boost and fuel bowl pressure) go bonkers on occasion, since replacing the batteries. Probably got a bad ground someplace. Oh, and rust. What can you do...<sigh>
