Hey everyone,
I’m hoping to compare notes with other Super Duty owners who’ve had the recent recall work done.
I’ve got a 2015 F‑350 6.7 Power Stroke, and earlier this summer I had the NOx sensor recalibration recall (21E01) completed. The truck ran completely normal afterward — no codes, no drivability changes, nothing unusual at all.
Then out of nowhere, while cruising on the highway, the truck had a single catastrophic downshift and immediately lost all drive. Engine ran fine, but the transmission acted like it was in neutral and the truck wouldn’t move. No prior symptoms leading up to it.
I’ve already filed a formal complaint with Ford, so at this point I’m just trying to gather additional facts and inputs from other owners. Specifically:
• Has anyone experienced major transmission or drivetrain issues shortly after the recalibration?
• Did your dealer mention anything about the update affecting torque management, shift logic, or TCM behavior?
• Any scan data, findings, or similar experiences?
Not trying to point fingers — just trying to understand whether this was a one‑off failure or if others have seen anything unusual post‑recall.
Appreciate any insight,
