Transmission Fluid

I changed the oil today and have been thinking about the transmission fluid. I have the BD power deep pan.
BD Power - Product: Transmission Pan
It says it holds 3.5 qts more fluid. How much ATF do I need for a fluid change? I had red line ATF put in when the transmission was upgraded/rebuilt but dont know which one they used.

Which one of these would you use or which ATF do you recommend?

Your tranny will not have a drain plug in the converter.

Follow the 4R100 flush article in the SDD Technical WIKI.

Valvoline Max life, Mobil 1, are real good. If you use Red Line. Make sure it is Mercon or Mercon V rated.

Don't forget your transfer case. It uses the same fluid that you are pouring into the tranny. 2+ quarts, if I remember correctly.

22 quarts for transfer case? Holy SH!t! Its going to be an expensive week spent on fluids!! $120 for oil and filter, $120 for trans fluid, $125 for transfer case!
Oh well I guess I saved a sh!t load by doing it myself!

Can you imagine what the cost would be by neglecting the tranny by not changing the fluid.
