Question Transmission shifting and powerchip

I have two questions one is for a powerchip; never ending issue. I heard bad things about the Edge, I am sure it is a opinion thing; anyone give me their opinion on which is the best for my 01 F-250 4X4? First I am going to put a 4 or 5 inch exhaust in. Also my auto trans shifts fairly hard I replaced it about two years ago with heavier duty trans from Ford I don't have all the details. I have heard there is hardware including the powerchip which assist the trans. Could I get some info? I do the transmission services on a regular basis. Thanks. Tim

exhaust is a good upgrade. before you put in any chip at all, get some gauges that monitor egt, boost, and transmission temp.

as far as a chip goes...im on my 3rd kind (DP Tuner) and i wish i wouldve gone with this from the beginning. I too have heard the same about edge...they are too hard on the tranny. DP Tuner or TWildman is by far the best out there. Dont waste your time with anything else.
