Truck doesn't want to start in park

Check this out , There are two torx screws under the dash that hold the linkage to the steering column. If they are loose (common) the gear shift lever has tooo much play (slop). The senser for park might not line up. They are hard to see, have to lay on your back, with flashlight in one hand and torx in the other. Now your third hand should wiggle the gear shift to see if there is any play. Have fun.
