So the truck broke down this past Wed., it started to buck, picked up speed, then bucked a few more time and that was it.....engine stopped dead. Could not restart it at all. Knowing that the CPS can be a major problem I figured that's what it was. I had it replaced in Feb. of '08 but from all I've heard it could well happen again.

Anyway, a new CPS was put in, code reader came up with P0340 after new one was installed. Mechanic cleared it, truck ran great for about 2 mi. and same thing happened again. Been working on this truck since, put in another CPS today and it took about 500 yds for truck to start bucking and then stop altogether--will not start. The fellow that's working on it is really in a quandry, he's tried everything. All other codes are clear, nothing on fuel injectors, wiring, nothing. Only the P0340. HELP!!!!!! :rant

Any advice would sure be appreciated. Cannot get the truck running again.

if it keeps throwing the P0340, you got something up in the CPS circuit...

chafed wire, rattled loose connector, terminal splayed, etc..
