turbo noise

I installed my new S&B cold air intake today. Installation went well and all intake boots are tight. Now when I`m driving I can here a loud hiss every time the trans. shifts gears and while passing under hard acceleration. Is this a normal sound for a open air intake because it made no noise at all with the stock air box? My truck is a 2002 F250 7.3 psd with auto trans. Do all open air intakes make this sound or is it just with S&B cold air intakes? The filter is enclosed in a box with a see through lid.

If you've checked all the connections and they're all tight, than it is most likely the intake. It's not uncommon for intakes to let your hear your turbo more.

you'll hear the air much more with an open element filter. its normal.
