I have the upfitter switches in my truck. I also have Flashing LEDS in the windows for work. I use the upfitter switch to turn them on. That being the case, I need to know if there is a relay that I can bypass so that they will stay on, even with the key off. I hate having to leave the truck on to use my LED's.
And for what it is worth, they need to be REALLY simple instructions. Which relay, and where it is, and all that stuff.

That is not what I am looking for. I need to do it from the factory installed upfitter switches.

and dont the factory switches have terminals on the back ?
or wires for you to connect some place ?

how did you connect the lights to the up fitter switch in the 1st
place ?

does THIS help you any..... http://members.cox.net/richardray/Upfitter_Switches.html
it identifies the wiring, but youll STILL have to run your own relay so that you can pick
up power direct from the battery.

They connect directly to the wiring out of the fuse block. So the upfitter switches are prewired and blunt ended. I want to bypass whatever relay they might have.

ok that makes it a little more clear...
but from what i see the switched are all run thru
the upfitter relay box (behind the glove box) and then
wired to the fuse block...

so other than cutting the switch wire & wiring it directly
i dont see how youll be able to do it.

i thought at least ONE of the switches was hot all the time...maybe not.

Wire 4 on the upfitter harness powers the relay box
Wire 5 lights the switches.
