today the light came on for water in fuel, i had replaced filters just before winter and do it again when they switch back to summer blend which is next month. I cant find a drain like on my last 7.3 to drain it, is there another way or do I have to change filters again

There is a filter in that unit also. It is located just under the driver on the inside frame rail.

There is a brass plug on the tranny side of the HFCM. It takes a allen wrench to remove it. You are right about getting to that filter, not the easiest.

There is an ungraded drain plug for the HFCM that can be opened by hand or hex wrench. Makes draining water or fuel alot easier. Venders on site have them
