today's oddity - driving home at steady 55 the truck all of a sudden jerks for just a split moment then continues normally. It felt and sounded like it cut out. I can't explain it well but it felt like I had run over something small but noticeable. I did not however. Could this be a CPS giving me warning? No other strange behavior on the rest of the drive home. :dunno

Same here, Peter. The longer it goes, the more frequent the "hiccup" will occur, until it just quits. Mine was doing it about twice a week when I replaced the CPS. Haven't had it since.:sweet

Yup, keep an extra CPS on hand, a 10mm six point socket, 3" extension and ratchet.

I think your right Richard, it must be getting the DTs! I actually had a dream the other night about filling with B100. Guess I'll look in ebay for that cheap cps. great, another $100. This month has been expensive with little or nothing to show for it. Thanks for the input; this site sure does save mechanic costs!

:roflmao ....DT's:roflmao I'm workin on it Peter!

When my CPS went out it hiccupped a couple times one week, the next week it died twice in a row. Restarted both times, good thing I was pulling into parking lot at work. Pulled codes and got the CPS code. I replaced it after work with no problems since. Went straight to International house and bought another one for the glovebox.:D

Peter,

I got mine off E-bay for $50. You might just buy two for $100.:2c

Great advice--should be a requirement for ALL 7.3 DI`s

Antonio, what did International charge you? I have to drive to Abilene this weekend and cant get the ebay one here that quick. I noticed Joat's part page has an International one listed but I didnt understand the "above/below engine 375548" part.

$89.98 + tax. I know someone that works there, they wanted $110 IIRC, he cut me a deal. "375548" is the engine serial number, I don't remember what year the change is, not sure really what the change is either.
