What Happened

I was shimming the FPR spring this morning and had put it back to together and had 87 psi on the fuel pressure guage. so I removed the cover again and removed one washer! I started with Three, I relaced ever thing back together and now I have no fuel Pressure at all . I took it back apart and notice that the spring was gone. So I removed the cap and found the spring inside the pipe. Question!!! Inside the cap is there a retainer that keeps the spring in place.

the 'retainer' is part fo the casting- there is no pic in the wiki page-

look at the Y shaped part of the casting. the spring bears against it.

you may need to get the kit from DI if you broke the pot metal casting. its cheaper than dealer

i hope you didn;t break it, truck won't run w/o it. its crap pot metal.

I See that has broken and I have called ford and they said that the will be 45.00 dollars. may be next thursday. Also I thank you for the link as soon as I seen the Pic's I knew that I was not driving the truck for a while . Unless somebody knows a quick fix. I was going to make an x and set it in there so that I can At least move the truck

I have the factory reg. housing and a DI one that I no longer use. If you want the stocker I'll depart with it cheap!
