true cool lpd4590 and a ATS Commander to lock up your converter and you should run at about 180 pulling and about 150 empty. not to mention with the commander your fuel mileage will go up.

Also seems the 94-97 trucks run the tranny temp up high if your in OD on the high way going a little on the fast side :thumbs . With 4.10's at 80, you'll warm up to like 210 easy. My 01 doesnt do this though.

Normal operating temp is 150 to 180. After 180 you start to shorten the life of the tranny. I replaced my stock 02 tranny cooler with an 04 model which is about 2.5 times larger. Made a huge difference. And it bolted into the same space. I just had to convert the line from 3/8 to 1/2 but that was easy. As well I installed a column tranny gauge as the factory one is useless.:D
