looking to change transfer case, rear differential and third member oils to synthetics... what is your opinion???

Sure, go for it. I will change mine soon and I am going with syn gear oil.

will be changing all to syn oil, engine is done already and rear diff already has syn oil, but needs changing. going to use Royal Purple....but you can also use Red Line, Amsoil, Mobil 1, they are all good products....JMO

We've got a link to their product selection guide on our website so you can make sure you get the right products and they've also got capacities listed also.

I've been using their gear oil in every vehicle I've had for the last 10 years or so and have never had a failure. Racers around here that use it really like it for how it keeps the temps in the gearcase down. The cold doesn't affect the synthetics anything like it does the dino oil, and that can make a big difference in your mileage also.

I have Mobil 1 in mine from front to back Makes everything roll a little smoother.

I have:

Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40 in the engine.
Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF in the transmission, transfer case and power steering.
Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant LS 75W-90 in both front and rear axles.
