couple of things - there is no wastegate on the old trucks like yours and mine so you might want to figure out what is disconnected.

I get about 15ish city and 18-20 depending on a/c use and wind. Check your air filter too. I dont know much about gears but I have 3.55 gears and your's might cause lower mileage than mine but others know more than I on that.

Tanks are approx 17 front 19 back give or take a gallon. (that might be backwards. I think the front tank is slightly larger...)

Welcome to the site - you can learn a lot here.

My ebpv is wired either open or closed, but I have never looked into the benefit or detriment of it not working. The truck was modified before I got it. It gets around 12 to 14 mpg. I also thought it was a waste gate that was probably wired shut. Does anyone know what the benefit of it being wired is? Thanks A.R.

I normally manage about 15MPG (+-) with 4.10 gears highway driving. ;)

You won't get near 20MPG from the truck with those gears ;)

8-10 is way low. You should get at least 14 but more like 16+.

As stated above there is no wastegate on your truck so it is probably the EBPV that is disconnected. If it is disconnected the EBPV may be closed or partially closed which would decrease the mileage greatly.

I have a 5 speed & 4:10's and running 40 miles back & forth to work, 65 mph hwy, plus a little city, I'll average 16.5-16.9 mpg. I just can't break that 17 nut. But pulling my 5th whl. drops me to 12.5. Even my 14' utility (quad) trailer will drop it to 15 mpg.

That's on dino fuel, I haven't checked since changing to bio.
