what mpgs to expect?

Looking into my first diesel, what are the average mpgs you guys are getting from all power stroke generations? I heard the 6.4 doesn't get too good. I'm going from a 13-14 mpg 5.4 f150. My diesel will be mostly stock accept for exhaust and most likely a mild tune. If that helps as for what I'm looking to compare to. Thanks

I'm good for 15-19 out of my 7.3 with 4.11 gears highway economy is heavily dependent upon speed. I'll pull the upper end of that range on a long stretch of 55-65 mph driving tipping over 70 will drink fuel fast

according to my pmt in my 6.0 i get about 15 doing 70-80, gauge on the truck says 16.5 even when i reset it... all i have is pmt and straight pipe 4" from turbo back

Do you know what you get around town

most of my driving is on hwy with a 40 mile one way trip to work. but according to my pmt the couple times ive checked it it was about 13 or 14... but it wont be completely accurate bc i like going fast really quick...lol :burnit and laying smoke is kinda fun at times...lol i know one thig is for sure if you run the red koolaid (farm diesel) youll get way better mpg. i ran it for a week and wow what a difference! unfortunately it is frowned upon by johnny law :(

I get 15 to 17 around town and I have gotten 21 on the highway, going 55 mph. I normally get around 18 to 19. You will never get 30 mpg in a 6000+ lb truck.

I'd be happy with 15-17 in town. That's better than what I get with my f150 on the highway!!! Bonus, better mpgs and more power
