what should the compression figures be for a 99 powerstroke?

i did a compression test on my engine and the results ranged from 440 psi to 500, does this sound right?

Im not Dr Diesel yet or anything so I dont know what a good number would be, but do know that on a gas engine - the amount of compression (psi) is not as important as how far off the cylinders are from one another. There are alot of variables when doing compression tests, starter speed, airfilter, hot or cold engine - on and on.

Anything above 300psi is good, i believe that at 25% difference you need engine work.
