Just stopped into my ford dealer today to look at the new 2011's. They had a CC Powerstroke loaded and a CC 6.2 gas job, both 4x4. The price tags were $55k for the gasser and $60k for the Diesel!. My buddy bought his 04 for $32,000 new. Seems like an awful lot of money for pickup truck to me even though they are top of the line. If i spent that much on a truck i wouldn't even want to use it as a truck.

All new vehicle prices have gotten outrageous. It's no wonder the used car dealers do such good business when most people can't afford to but new. There is a Cabela's edition F350 SRW CC/LB at the local Ford dealer that has a "sale" price of $52000. It's a pretty truck but not worth that much money.

Its crazy, for 60k that truck better go "back to the future" when you hit 88 mph.
Whats even more crazy is a F-350 4x4 plane jane work truck with a gasser is still 30k :rant

:lmao I know right - The salesman came out and started talking to me and i wanted to ask him if he was high, if he thought i was going to fork out that kind of coin for a pickup. Besides i like my truck way too much and plan on keeping it for a long time.

New truck

We looked at a fancy new F250 and it was ONLY $52,270.00. Needless to say it is still sitting there. I did have a good laugh.

Be keeping mine

After looking at what it would cost to repair or replace my truck I sat down and made a list of preventive maintenance. I'm going to put back a couple grand a year for major repairs down the line. They can bury me in it.
