My `99 came with the cord even tho I did not order the block heater. Somewhere around `00 or `01 Ford stopped installing the cord unless the heater was ordered. Knowing that, when I ordered my `06 I made sure I ordered the heater. I took this truck off the lot. So I don't have the heater. But no big deal, doesn't get that cold around here anyway. Two weeks ago when we had that 0 degree weather it would have been nice, but I used my Mariner instead. The cold weather only hung around for 2 days. Besides, being retired there is no NEED that I drive it daily anyway.

Ford stopped including the cords with the trucks in 2005, unless you live in one of THE states.
