My trim is coming off, the adhesive that was on it is starting to wrinkle up and separate...it's real bad under the fuel filler door (spilt biodiesel down the side a few times..), but I think I'm going to re-do all of them while I'm doing it.

Anyone have suggestions on how to do this, and the best adhesive to use? :dunno

3M double sided trim & molding tape. a good automotive store should carry something like this.

NAPA, Auto Zone, Advance, any of the big ones, or any local mom & pop automotive store.

make SURE you get the OLD stuff off...COMPLETELY

You can remove all vinyl pinstriping, graphics, and adhesive
residue without damaging the paint....LINK

Will that eraser work to get the adhesive off the back of the molding itself?

Thanks, guys...

those erasers will make FAST work of removing ALL the glue...
your situation is EXACTLY what they were designed for.

that double sided foam/tape that holds body side molding on is
NOT your average stuff...

NO, 'fraid not. <check the link above> its a SPECIALLY designed
'pad' that you can put on the end of a die grinder or your drill...
its sole purpose is to remove stuff like bbressler needs to remove.
