Need to replace water pump on 95 PSD 7.3. Which is the better choice, the International or the Ford? I have read several posts on this but still nothing real clear. Please help?

Use the Ford unit.
Supposedly IH & Ford use different pumps on the same engine.
The different water pumps also means different t-stat housings and IIRC, different radiator hose outlet.

i got my replacement from napa a "ford" i guess, seems to be working great

one of the upgrades that has been done previously is the international water pump with the integrated coolant filter. This is not as easy as a bolt on deal and is expensive because you have no core and you need to buy a coupler idler pulleys from international and a longer belt.
I am just running the standard OE replacement, mine happens to be from autozone since I needed it and no body else had one on the shelf.
