I just received my updated PCM from DP-Tuner. Let me say that I am one HAPPY customer.
That man knows how to make a diesel wake up and come to attention!!!

I called and talked to them several times trying to make up my mind between a chip or programmer.
They said I wouldn’t be satisfied with a programmer and a chip was more that I needed.
So I went with their suggestion, re-flash my PCM and add an 80hp economy-tune to the PCM...
I would of never thought it could be done that way...

HOOO WEEE,

Now until I rub the new off this PCM my economy is out the window or should I say out the tail pipe in the form of black smoke…

I bought a PCM from Jody T. last month with the same flash. I am very happy with the result!
I had a Banks chip before and the difference with the DP PCM put on the big grin !!

I didn't know you could get 80hp and economy.
Isn't the most HP we can get on the OBS trucks 80 with a tuner?
I guess I need to look into this, it sounds like the way to go.

I really don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that I just ate one of these last night.

Sucked him up in my intake and spit him out my exaust.
Don't know if he was just so supprised that I passed him like I did and didn't do 100% or I just spanked him!!!
This was from a double lane left turn. A block or so after the turn, the right lane goes away.
I was in the right left turn lane, and punched it after the turn, he was punching it in the turn.
I was doing close to 85 or so when I pulled into the left lane.

Anyway I really love my new computer programing...

I would be curious to see how the MPG fares with this.
But I would be like the rest of you guys and keep my foot in it all the time so I wouldn't know if the mileage was better.
Does this flash change the trans pressure too?
How are your EGT's?

The transmission shifts MUCH better now, don't know about the pressure though.
Don't have any gauges yet, they are next to come. The new has just about worn off the PCM, so I'm not doggin' it much anymore.

I had a fuel leak, and replaced the lift pump and hoses, no leaks now. With the leaks and about 100 miles on the new PCM (lead foot and all) I got 14.3 mpg.
After this AMs fillup, I going to drive to see exactly how good I can do with the economy. I'm really going to try, really I am
