wont shift into overdrive

I was heading out on a trip friday and my 1999 f250 4x4 wouldn't shift into overdrive. Just before this happened I did notice the od off light flashing on my shifter. I have 103k on it and I have never had any issues with the truck and I don't tow with it other than my 15 foot alum duck boat on occasion. Any tips appreciated.

The OD light is flashing ,so you have codes stored. Have the code pulled. It could be a simple fix or it could be major.

I did some searching and found the sensor in the diff was prob bad, replaced it abs light which I thought was another issue and the bouncy speedo 15 bucks from napa fixed everything.
