zf6 drain plug size-installing temp sensor

I would use the fill plug for a temp sensor. Less change of getting contaminated with tranny garbage like metal fillings. Don't know the size, but it should be a pipe thread and size like 3/8 pipe.

Cool, thanks Dave. If I remember right it has an o ring on it. I have a bunch of brass fittings and I can probably just put some teflon tape on one of them. Have searched and searched online for one from one of these diesel aftermarket suppliers to no avail. Have heard about the plugs for sensors for these but unable to locate. Just trying to keep things compact as possible.

X2 on what Dave said about the FILL plug.. Not the drain plug. Good chance of scrubbing it off if you used the Drain plug ?

If you don't have the Where-With-All to do it.. yer local machine shop could do it ?
