Just added 04 and 05 data to the VC article:sweet

For the 01 Ford Excursion, I have D codes front and G codes rear. Your chart doesn't show that. Just an FYI.

BTW, I am swapping them out to a set of F250 springs. U codes front and A codes rear. Anything else I need besides the springs, U-bolts, elbow grease and the handy list of expletives? TIA

Add your Excursion info to your signiature when you get a chance:cool:

I collected the spring data on the F-Series and Excursion from Ford service information documents which did not list the G code part number for the X but did list the D code.

Our 02 Excursion also has the DG code.:)

I just did the swap. I noted that the wheelwells height was 37.25 in the Front and 40 in the rear before the springs. After the springs, it was 39 and 40.5. Should I put some spacers in the back to get back the rake it had or does it matter? TIA

I got my v-codes on the front of my x and what a difference. I already put and add a leaf in the rear and the v-codes added two inches to my x. I am going to put my 295-75-16 BFG AT's on the x and if by chance it still rubs on the mud flaps I will put an add a leaf in the front and f-350 blocks in the rear. I love the ride now. It is ten times smoother.

The combination of V codes and F350 blocks on the rear have worked out great on our Excursion.

I'm still on the fence of upgrading to W codes or doing the tough country front leveling kit. It's ride comfort versus money spent:D

If I wanted to do V codes on the front of my 05 X, what woud be the right rear spring to upgrade to? I'm wanting to do away with as much of the rear end sag as possible when towing. I currently have the Donahoe racing 4.5" hanger lift with 6" blocks on the rear. My truck sits just a tad higher in the rear when unloaded which is the way I would like to keep it. I want to get front and rear springs that would allow me to just swap springs only and go. And increase towing capacity of course.:)

Cheapest way would be to add-a-leaf or a mini-spring pack. I also want to see them lights when you get them !!!
