Being a full time RV'er I find that most fuel stations right off of the interstate exits are higher than those further off the highway. While towing I generally use Flying-J or Pilot with the RV Frequent Fueler card. I am at about .05 off per gallon at this point, but it convenient they have...
I feel your pain. My truck blew a hoe adapter just outside Des Moines, IA in October. Got truck and 5er towed to a local RV Park, then Ford paid to tow the truck to the Ford dealer. When I called the dealer to arrange for the truck to get towed and a rental car (I have ESP) the service writer...
in cool damp weather my 2008 used to blow some white smoke when going thru the regen process. Don't know if this happens in the new one too. I haven't noticed it with my 2012........yet
I admit that I do need to add one for monitoring egt while towing. as far as cool down, when I stop I shut down the motor, exit, lock the doors and use my remote start to restart the motor. It runs for 15 minutes then shuts down.
don't assume the harness is there either. many years ago i bought a GMC 3500 and missed oredering the electrically adjustable outside mirrors. no problem i thought as i was going to buy replacement towing mirrors anyway. so I order the electric adjustable mirrors, a new armrest panel with the...
the early models has issues with the radiator leaking. i had my radiator replaced after 20K miles. have the dealer run an OASIS report for you which will show all of the work that was done by Ford dealers.
Someone else may be able to better explain the Job #, but it relates to a date range on...
OK. So now I am asking for a definition. What is Hydrolocked? Aside from this thread (first time I've heard of this condition), I recently read an article discussing a hydrolocked cylinder.
First; my truck is a 2008 F-450 King Ranch.
When driving on a highway (60-70 mph) on a windy day I occasionally hear a strange humming noise kinda, like someone blowing into a kazoo. It isn't constant, it is occasional and short in duration. It sounds like it is coming from under the dash...
A while back I remember a digital gauge that showed EGT Temp, Tranny Temp and I think Water Temp in a single rectangular unit. I don't recall the manufacturer.
Does anyone know if that still exists and who manufacturers it?
One other iem to check are the wires to the trailer brakes. most RV manufacturers route them thru a hole in the frame where they are notorious for chaffing and shorting to ground.
