Stainless steel will rust if it comes in contact with regular carbon steel. I'm a pipe fitter, trust me on this one. It will eventually rust even if it doesn't come in contact with carbon steel, the length of time will vary depending on climate and road conditions and quality. Hope this helped.
With anything over the 210 I would say you need a cold air intake. I gained about 1.5 mpg with the intake alone. I'm using the Banks Ram Air intake and I like it.
I put the 210 Spartan tune in two days ago and I love it. Mileage seems to be better and the power is by far better than the Banks six gun I was running.
Anybody using one of the Mag-Hytech deep tranny pans? If so, did you notice your trans temps go down any? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the money.
mods
Banks Ram Air Intake, Banks Monster Exhaust,Flo-pro cat and dpf delete, aero-turbine muffler and the Spartan Tuner. This combination is working great together.
Does anyone know of a product that turns off the EGR system and the DPF only. I'm running the Banks Six Gun with IQ and using DPF delete electronics but it's a little aggravating at times. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Can't blame a guy for asking. I tried one of the tips I read on here and it may have worked. I revved up the engine past 3000 rpms a few times and then I went for a drive through the mountains. When I finished my drive I let the truck idle in the driveway and I didn't hear any more...
Does anybody know of a mod friendly dealership near South Carolina? I just installed the Banks six gun and I did away with the dpf and doc. I just changed my oil at 5000 miles and now I hear a ticking/knocking noise at idle.
