The early 6.7s had a lot of turbo issues and the aftertreatment system is always a ticking time bomb for when it's going to fail. But they do make great power for towing. Also towing frequently will keep the engine temp up and keep the exhaust system cleaner

If your interested in a diesel i would go with a 6.0 over a 6.4 in the long term will be more reliable. Once It has been bullet proofed can be very reliable and much cheaper to fix then a 6.4 and the best part is no exhaust after treatment problems
