Question My F 250 stalled
I'm no pro, but at the suggestion of a friend I checked the oil in the HPOP reservoir. Turns out, even just a few hundred miles after an engine oil change, it was BLACK!!! Now that you mention it, the power has been disappointing. I had been chalking it up to being used to higher horsepower vehicles that I've been driving, like the 6.0 pickup the Excursion replaced, and other newer vehicles I've been driving for work. Fuel Economy Drop
Thanks for the response, the Ex has 179,000 miles. It has a K&N air filter that I cleaned less than 5,000 miles ago. I will have to check on the fuel filter, I don't remember. Fuel Economy Drop
Since July, my '02 7.3L Excursion 4x4 has been steadily dropping mpg's. A few things have changed during that time that I was blaming it on, but I think it's something more. Well, that would be the easy fix, and why would I want the easy fix? I put the new lock/cylinder assembly in this morning, and it does the same thing, refusing to turn to the #2 or #1 positions. From the diagram I saw at the parts store, it looked like the lock assembly inserts into a harness...- bigbrother44

Okay, so it could be A LOT worse, but I need to fix this before I have to file an insurance claim to replace my truck when it gets stolen!!! 3-4" Lift in front for the Excursion
Something to be aware of... As you obviously know, Excursion springs are not Super Duty springs. I wanted 2" added to level the front of my 02 7.3L Excursion.
