I'm going to try all that but after doing alot of reading I'm leaning toward the ficm. Went to start it one day and it seemed like the batteries were a little weak and from what I understand a voltage drop will damage the ficm. That make any sense?
no tests on the injectors. Haven't been to ford yet, had it scanned at the trans place. Fuel filters changed at 67,000. air at 70,000. Had an Edge/attitude but took it off to eliminate it as the problem. Probalbly why I have the KAM code.

Truck has been running crappy lately. Doing some erratic stuff.
1- Shifting into 4 gear takes long like it's slipping.
2- After it shifts into 5th I'll be dring along and it downshifts into 4th by itself.
3- At times it has no power and black smoke from the exhaust.

I have a cast aluminum wheel with a crack about 3" long running from the bead toward the hub. Is it possible/advisible to have it welded? No damage to the wheel other than the crack.
I spoke to someone that had the same problem. It was the solenoid on the right fender. The vacuum hose runs thru it and there is an electrical connection to it. Anyone know if there is a way to test it
Happened recently to me. Same year truck 66,000 miles. It got alittle better as it warmed up but not much. Turned out to be the turbo(dirty). Took it off and cleaned it. It ran like a new truck. Never really noticed how much power it was slowly losing over time.
Thanks Guys. Can't hear the vacuum pump but maybe I just don't notice it with the engine noise. Tried tracing hoses best I could, the way they're run is difficult, and didn't see any obvious breaks. Heater,AC, controls all work fine.
