As has been said said... boost is created by the turbocharger system to force more air into the cylinders. More air = more power
If your talking about the boost relief valve that Bob Riley sells - it is to keep the truck from setting off the SES light and to keep the computer from defueling...
Depending on how much you want to spend you can fix it fairly cheaply...
On my truck all the locks stopped working, except the drivers door.. I was able to purchase so lock actuators from a place that sells alarms & other kits... they were like $4 or $5 each...
All you do is place them...
As has been said... you will never realize the full effect without more modding...
Are you an early 99 or later..? I have a DI 4 setting chip with 120hp as the top... but you can't drive with it on that setting very much... it smokes like a freight train...
What kind of temps are you...
I too have asked about weather the 5600cfm on the stock fan is at 0" of static air pressure or what... no one seems to know...
The fans linked in the post above actually state something like 3600-5500cfm... they never give max rpm's on the fans and they only state what the CFM is at 0" of...
My grandfather raised Percherons.. He had a couple of state champions at one time... They are a great breed.
A good team is something of beauty when they work together. The team of mules that I used to drive were former logging mules... I used to have to give a warning before taking off...
What are you pulling with them???
I had a couple of mules that we used to pull a covered wagon up in Wyoming.... Take tourists on ride of the Old Oregon Trail...
Those two of yours look like they are a team...
Nice looking horses!!! :thumbs
Hey I'm not sure how many of you use the Google toolbar but a new feature they just added to it was a spell check feature...
Now you can run a spell check right from the toolbar.... very nice.
Just a heads up for you all.
It's been awile since ol' FireRooster responded but it was only today that I was him asking about it...
FR,
I live in Lake Havasu.... as you know were typically a little hotter than you are even... I can say that I don't notice a difference in temps on the guage... But I have saw my MPG's...
So if you have a problem with your truck you can try and fix it yourself...
Alot of times with all the electrical nowdays when you have a problem it as simple as a sensor or something... this allows you to pin point where the problem is... and if nothing else.. to make sure you don't get...
I'm partial to gutting them because it takes away the blockage... and reduces temps...
even if you gutted it your gonna have the actuator arm just hanging there because there is nothing to hook it to. So I would say for now, to see how your going to like it to just leave it as is.
Not only does the county do that, but a couple of the local stations have their own dirty dining reports where they televise who's got a failing grade.... talk about pressure to get your self up to the standards or go out of business.
Keep yourself clean or face the wrath of the reporters...
That's what I was wondering.... its hard to beat Dale's price..
On Edit:
Dale's price is $86.45
