Thanks Dave, I know its the steering pump, but, like I said I had NO PROBLEM at all with the truck, no noise before , I changed the front hub bearing and moved the front spindle to get better angle on the bolt behind the spindle and when I was done the truck started the whine.......The brakes...- handyman34450

New user, not sure where to post for help I have a 2001 crew cab 7.3 diesel that is making steering wine both when I steer and apply the brakes. I had no problem at all with this truck, I was changing a front hub bearing and was turning the rotor to get better access to a bolt with the engine...- handyman34450

Turbo Growl when pulling heavy loads
Turbo growl??? I have a 2001 F350 4x4 Crew with a diesel 7.3 with 181,000 miles on it with a 4 inch exhaust and upgraded air intake along with a SuperChips tune for off road, the turbo growls when under load with my 40 foot fifth wheel toyhauler which weighs in at 16,000 lbs....any Ideas what...- handyman34450
